Perseverance lands on Mars

NASA's most sophisticated rover yet touched down in Jezero Crater, an ancient Martian river delta where life, if the red planet ever had any, would have left its calling cards in the sediment. A week later a four-pound helicopter named Ingenuity hopped briefly off the rusty surface, becoming the first aircraft to fly on another world.
