Pager attacks in Lebanon

Explosive devices hidden in pagers and other communications equipment used by Hezbollah detonated across Lebanon, killing and wounding members of the group and bystanders. The attacks marked a sharp escalation in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah and were followed by wider Israeli strikes.
